Haze Invader is the latest product of an ongoing breeding project that we’ve been running in our breeding rooms for over 3 years, and it’s actually one that’s especially close to my heart. Both parent strains, Granite Haze and Sapphyre, were born from the earliest genetics that we developed with our first massive pheno hunts over 5 years ago.
Granite Haze F4 was the first strain we ever released and it’s what we jokingly refer to as our “Claim to fame”. It’s the first strain that really checked all of our boxes, as far as for the the traits we were looking for in an autoflower strain. Extremely vigorous, huge yield potential, awesome frost, fast seed to harvest time, excellent terpenes…you name it. Stabilizing Granite haze has unanimously been one of our favorite things to work on as a breeding team.
Sapphyre actually got started a personal “pet project” of mine, where I decided to personally do all of the pheno hunting, breeding pair selection, pollination etc. It continues to be one of my personal favorite strains to work on with each generation. I’m a sucker for loud fucking terpenes, and Sapphyre definitely has that in spades. Anyone who knows what I like would know that Sapphyre’s terpene profile has my name written all over it. Punchy, sharp haze notes. Fruity splashes of deep berry, citrus, peach and pineapple. My personal favorite smell that can be found in cannabis, Blue sour patch kids. All of that gets tied in neatly with a little bow that’s dripping with gasoline and melted rubber.
Bringing these two strains together is something our team has been working on for a long time, as evidenced by a previous limited drop that we did last year, Fire Flower. While that was a fair representation of the two parent strains, I didn’t personally feel that the whole was greater than the sum of the parts. So I decided that we needed to scrap it and start over with the benefit of all the knowledge and techniques we’ve picked up in the last year or so.
That’s exactly what we did, and I could not be more excited to give you guys a taste of what we’ve been working on. This isn’t the final product, we’ll be releasing future generations, but we’ve so far accomplished what we set out to do here. The whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts.
Haze Invader maintains all of the most lovable traits from both parent strains and, if I may say so myself, it’s really mother-fucking good. Yields on yields on yields, take good care of this girl in an autopot or a big 10+ gallon nursery pot, and she’ll return the favor with a pound of finished product that would rival anything you’d get on a dispensary shelf.
Terpenes are where Haze invader really shines, though. Granite Haze and Sapphyre are both no slouches in that department, but holy shit you’ve got to smell this on to believe it. Like if a fruit truck made of candy ran into a gas station that sold flower flavored gasoline. Does that make sense?
She runs about 75 days of pure enjoyment. I’ve been loving this strain myself, and I absolutely cannot wait to hear your feedback on it. Enjoy!
